Iowa Alpine

DESCRIPTION
SHIPPING INFO

Our best-seller at farmers' markets, this is the cheese that started it all. This semi-hard, aged Tomme-style cheese, similar to Gruyere or Comte has a sharp, tangy, complex flavor that is great for crackers or sandwiches. If you are looking to please everyone in a crowd, this will do the job.

At Lost Lake Farm, we take pride in crafting cheeses that reflect the care we put into our herd and land. Because cheese is a living, perishable food, we ship with special attention to timing and packaging to ensure it reaches you in the best possible condition.

Processing Time

All shipments leave our farm on Mondays after your order is placed. Shipping deadline is 8 pm on Sunday evening.

Seasonal Shipping

To protect the integrity of our cheeses, we only ship during the cooler months of the year. Seasonal shipping begins each November and continues through early spring. This allows us to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage during transit. Orders placed outside of our seasonal window may be scheduled for a future ship date.

Shipping & Packaging

All orders are carefully packed with insulated materials and ice packs as needed to help maintain proper temperature. Depending on your location, we ship using UPS Ground or FedEx so your package typically arrives within two to three days of dispatch. Once your order leaves our farm, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can follow its journey.

Delivery Areas

At this time, we ship within the continental United States only and change available states based on the forecast. Excluded states are listed next to the product above.

Warm Weather Disclaimer

Because our cheeses are perishable, we strongly recommend someone be available to receive the package at the delivery address especially if you live in a warm climate like California or Florida. Lost Lake Farm cannot take responsibility for products that spoil if they are left outside or unattended after delivery. We advise opening your box promptly and refrigerating your cheese upon arrival.
